The exhibition Mark Work celebrates the joy of mark making in all its forms - stamping, brushing, smearing, rubbing, hammering, tracing. The ability to create through spontaneous and experimental action.

As part of Mark Work, Objectspace is hosting a rolling cast of tutors for a series of drawing sessions.

Each tutor will suggest alternative ways of tackling a drawing, taking inspiration from the different processes seen in the exhibition.

In this session, Emma Smith and William Bardebes will explore media and letter forms through a series of exercises incorporating wet and dry materials.

Emma Smith is an artist, Contemporary Arts Discipline Lead and Senior Lecturer at Unitec- Te Whare Wānanga o Wairaka. She exhibits regularly in Tāmaki Makaurau.

William Bardebes is a freelance graphic designer and typography consultant. His practice spans the fields of digital, motion and video design through to publication design and risograph printing.

All materials will be provided. Sessions are 90 minutes long. Suitable for participants aged 12 years and over.
