We are expanding our team! Be part of our energetic events programme team as a casual Gallery Assistant.

You’ll support the delivery of events at Objectspace, ranging from workshops to lectures, panel discussions and tours.

We pride ourselves in showing manaaki to all our visitors. We are looking for someone who is passionate about hosting and is able to support our events across weeknights and weekends.

Two positions are available. This role will suit a current student or practitioner who has a keen interest in craft, design and architecture.

Primary Responsibilities:

To assist with the set up and delivery of exhibition openings, public programmes and other events.

To be the first point of contact for all visitors to Objectspace, maintaining a warm, welcoming andhighly communicative front-of-house.

To invigilate Objectspace exhibitions, including: providing supporting information to visitors, answering questions and overseeing the safe engagement of objects and artworks.
