Collectors' Night Out returned this week with a sold out crowd of art and design devotees visiting three exceptional houses and hosts. Our best night out of the year, delivered hand-in-hand with ECC.

After bubbles and a bite at the ECC showroom, we traveled by bus to our first home of the night hosted by Objectspace royalty, Philip Clarke and Jane Wild, who shared their collection of contemporary ceramics, art and jewellery with us.

Next, we headed to the Patrick Clifford–designed home of Pawel Grochowicz who is an avid collector of Aotearoa and international art. With a glass of Black Estate Pét Nat in hand, Pawel’s trusted gallerist Sarah McCrory took us through his ever-growing collection, and Jeff Fearon made an appearance to speak to Fearon Hay's architectural update.

Kate Gillespie and Mike Robertson welcomed us into their villa for the final stop – with canapés courtesy of Cazador and a lush spread of wines from our friends at Black Estate, alongside great kōrero from Kate and Mike on their contemporary art collection and the joys (and trials) of living with art in a family home.

Our thanks to all those that welcomed us into their homes this year and to our brilliant cohort of bus-goers. Can't wait for the next one!
