As part of Object Book Fair, join Dr. George Hajian for an afternoon notebook-making workshop on Saturday 13 June.
In this session, participants will work with George Hajian to create notebooks using scrap paper and reused materials, while learning simple sewing techniques and working with basic tools.
Spend the morning browsing and buying books at the fair, then join George for an afternoon of making upstairs.

Dr. George Hajian is a graphic designer, artist, and Senior Lecturer at Te Wānanga Aronui o Tāmaki Makau Rau, Auckland University of Technology. His design practice focuses on publication design, printmaking, and self-publishing, with a strong emphasis on analogue processes and material experimentation. Originally from Beirut, Lebanon, George has worked across the design and publishing industries in Aotearoa New Zealand and abroad for more than 20 years. His art practice brings together collage, screen-printing, and mark-making, with a particular interest in printed matter, paper, and the tactile qualities of the handmade.
