On the closing weekend of In the image of the city, join Oscar Mardell for a walking tour riffing on his book Delirious New Lynn; or, Portage and Euphoria; or, The Carryover.
This offsite event promises to be pedestrian in every way, with Oscar offering ‘a sluggish stroll accompanied by wildly inaccurate and cringingly unfunny musings on a handful of utterly unremarkable sites’.
Those who have read Delirious New Lynn will attest to how striking Oscar's consideration of his home suburb is, so we're not so sure. Join us to glean his insights in real time – from the library, to the Brick Maker’s Memorial, to the gatepost on the corner of Clark Street and Rankin Avenue.
Get your $10 ticket to join us for this special offsite outing. We'll meet outside the New Lynn train station at 10.30am on Saturday 14 November.
