Workshop #1: Copper Ring Making with Workshop6

Objectspace’s 2024 Courtyard Plinth commission has been awarded to Workshop6. As part of their proposal, Workshop6 is offering budding jewellers the chance to learn basic jewellery skills and become part of their plinth installation.

One of the foundational skills in jewellery making is creating a copper ring. Copper rings have become emblematic of learning jewellery construction and will form the basis of Workshop6’s plinth installation.

In this workshop you will have the opportunity to make two copper rings. One for you and one to be added to Workshop6’s plinth installation revealed in March 2024.

This will be an ongoing collaboration between Objectspace and Workshop6 in 2024 so keep a look out for more workshops

Spaces are limited.

Workshop6 is a working jewellery studio in Grey Lynn Auckland and provides a space for a collective of contemporary jewellers along with classes.
