Whether it be 16mm film, hand-drawn animation, 4K video or footage recorded on a phone, moving image artworks create a unique space for Māori artists to connect the forms, patterns and concepts of toi ataata (Māori visual arts) with the oral histories, performance and music of ngā mahi a te rēhia (the arts of performance).
