  Objectspace Programme

The exhibition programme is founded on our artistic vision of ‘supporting innovation and experimentation. Much of the programme will focus on and present contemporary or new works that push boundaries. However we will also feature innovative work from earlier periods as part of curated exhibitions. Hence the artistic focus is innovative and experimental work over time. The core focus of the programme is on craft practice. However our focus as an organisation is on an expanded field that embraces areas of design, architecture and links to the broader visual arts.

Objectspace sees itself as being a lively project space for makers and curators, rather than traditional museum gallery space, and its programme significantly contributing to professional development across the objectmaking sector.

Objectspace operates three exhibition programmes:

Main Gallery Programme – 5 week long exhibitions of maker’s installations and curated exhibitions

Window Programme – 4 week long installations of small bodies of experimental work or single installations often by new makers

Vault Programme – 8 week long installations of distinctive groups of works from private collections.

The exhibition programme is developed in response to receiving proposals from makers and curators and by Objectspace initiating projects.
