By placing seemingly disparate objects together artist Lee Brogan wants us to consider the impact of governmental and corporate relationships on the natural environment. The gun and grenade, based on actual artifacts of war from the Solomon Islands are slowly overwhelmed by the progress of the snails, demonstrating the persistence of nature in times of human adversity and strife.

This work is made up of a number of individual elements that can be manipulated in order to create various alternative arrangements. Brogan intends this to be an experiential work which asks the viewer to question the industrial-military complex and its control and domination of world events, politics and environmental issues.
