The majority of board members are elected by financial members at the annual general meeting. Board members elected by the AGM are called ‘general trustees’. The elected general trustees in turn are able to appoint up to four additional ‘specialist’ trustees who bring to the board specialist skills in areas such as communication, finance and patronage.
